She was predeceased by: her siblings, Dorris Ray Melton, Sue Melton Tapp and Freida Melton Sandefur. She is survived by: her husband Lieutenant Francis (Frank); her daughters, Lori Lang Shroyer (John) of Fayetteville, NC and Lynn Lang Murphy of Gainesville, GA; her grandchildren, Thomas Andrew Murphy of Gainesville, GA, John Joseph Shaw III of Fayetteville, NC, Kathleen Ann Seasock (Daniel) of Slippery Rock, PA and Allison Marie Shaw of Fayetteville, NC; her siblings, Barbara Parish (Omar) of Madisonville, KY, Jerry Melton (Barbara) and Larry Melton (Faye); and also Lang Jr.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
