He is survived by: his wife Iris LaVerne Hopson of Providence; his children, Ruthie Hopson of Madisonville, George Hopson IV (Angie) of Evansville and Antonio Hopson of Providence; his siblings, Brenda Drake (Ali), David Hopson (Denise) and Minister Keith Hopson (JoAnn); his grandchildren, Daja, Tatyana, Camille, Camari, Alexiss, Kylah, Angelina, Jalia, Damen, Darius, Haviye, Elijah, Taviah, A'Maurion and Javen; his aunt Margaret Hawkins; and his great-aunt Ruby Leavell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
