He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Enoch Stewart (Pete) and Anna Winebarger Oakley; and his brothers, Claude Jr., Jeff and Victor Stewart.

He is survived by: his sons, Zachary Stewart (Michaela) of Providence, KY and Joshua Stewart (Reygan) of Madisonville, KY; his siblings, Roger Stewart of Clay, KY, Bobby Stewart of Sebree, KY, Herbert Stewart of Dixon, KY and Ann Stewart (Sissy) of Arizona; and his granddaughter Alania (Zachary).
