She was predeceased by: her parents, Arwood Vinson Askew and Kathleen Carr Askew; her husband James Albert Harper; and her siblings, Bobby Askew, Mary Baker and Ann Major.

She is survived by: her daughter Ryssa McGehee (Randy) of Prospect, KY; her grandchildren, Dustin McGehee (Elizabeth) and Amber Billingsley (Kent); and her great grandchildren, Tucker of Prospect, KY., Carter of Prospect, KY., Ashton McGehee of Prospect, KY., Mason of Prospect, KY., Colby of Prospect, KY., Drake of Prospect, KY. and Harper Billingsley of Prospect, KY..
