He is survived by: his wife Linda Sue Slone Halbert; his children, Mark Halbert of Langley, KY, John W. Halbert (Cheri) of Langley, KY, Tammy Moore (Chris) of Hazel Green, KY, Cheryl Halbert of Printer, KY, Elizabeth Duncan of Richmond, KY and Melissa Covey (Tommy) of Lexington, KY; and his sister Marietta Reynolds of Printer, KY. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
