He was predeceased by: his wife Christine Clark Hunter; his parents, Floyd Hunter and Madge Pickering Hunter; and his siblings, Aline Hamby and Elmo "Bud" Hunter.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon LaRue of Marion and Ross Hunter (Michelle) of Princeton; his grandchildren, Keith Cochran, Harmony Rushing, Heather Dayberry, Ashley Miller and Matthew Hunter; his great grandchildren, Logan Cochran, Lindsey Henry, Bristyn Rushing, Bentley Rushing, Brady Dayberry, Bryce Dayberry, Hunter Noel and Summer Noel; and his great great grandchildren, Stella and Atlas Cochran.
