With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mattie Marie Robinson McGowan of Princeton, Kentucky, who passed away on December 1, 2024 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cable Robinson and Jessie Mae Robinson; her siblings, Jo Ann Faulkner, Myrtle McKinney, Dorothy Sivels, Betty Jean Robinson, Howard Wesley Robinson, James Robinson, Raymond Lewis Robinson, Lonnie Robinson and Elliott Robinson; and her nephew Shawn D. Maxie.
She is survived by: her husband Melvin Fredrick Blanton; her children, De'Shawna McGowan of Louisville, KY and Jamar McGowan of Princeton; her stepchildren, Kelly Edwards of Clarksville, TN, William, Rodney and Jay Blanton of Madisonville; her siblings, Thelma Robinson Sivils of Hopkinsville, Clarence Robinson of Princeton and Jackie Robinson of Atlanta, GA; and her grandson Josiah Waller. She is also survived by other step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
