She was predeceased by: her parents, John Slaughter and Mattie Hill Slaughter; her husband Willie "Booney" James Slaughter; and her siblings, Mammie Taylor, Gatath Slaughter, Mary Goldstein, Inelia Samuel, Etha Slaughter, John, James Ray, Milton and Robert Slaughter.
She is survived by: her children, Ventura Samuel (Holly), Alexis Samuel, Ashley Samuel (Cameron Hall) and Aliya Samuel (Megan); her brothers, Tam Slaughter and Walker Slaughter; her grandchildren, Cayden Hall, Capri Hall and Logan Gordon; and her children, Shunta Seals (Mattie), Stacy Samuel and Willie James Samuel, Jr.. She is also survived by several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
