She was predeceased by: her father Homer Terry; her husband Melvin Sidney Cartwright; her siblings, Betty Jean Stallins, Peggy Sue Dixon, Homer Gentry Dixon and Jewell Thomas "Tommy" Dixon; and her grandson Bobby Dean Ladd (Ronnie Dean Ladd).
She is survived by: her daughter Vanessa Ladd of Princeton; her grandson Terry Lee Ladd; her granddaughter-in-law Amanda Kay Ladd; and her great grandchildren, Tristan Xavier Ladd, Jainna Alex Ladd and Gabriella Fay Ladd. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
