He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Oden and Novella Hensley Oden; his wife Sara Ruth Lassiter Oden; his grandson William Matthew Thomas; and his great grandchildren, Jaden and Adilene Morton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Futrell (Brent) and Faith Kell (Richard).
