She was predeceased by: her parents, John M. Thomas and Jessie E. Groves Thomas. She is survived by: her husband Alton Mitchell; her daughter Kelly Peters (Shawn) of Benton, KY; her grandson Mitchell Peters; and her sister Janet Beaird (Jerry). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
