He was predeceased by: his parent Ira Gilkey; his wife Kay Yates Gilkey; and his siblings, Margie Gilkey and Tom Gilkey. He is survived by: his children, Karen (Craig Roberts) of Caldwell County and Trevor Gilkey (Christie) of Caldwell County; his siblings, Annette Anderson, Linda Green, Kenneth Gilkey and Richard Gilkey; his grandchildren, Magen Woods, Chase Roberts, Cabott Gilkey and Taylor Gross; and his great grandchildren, Connor, Cooper, Tucker Roberts, Aubrey, Forest, Blakelyn Gilkey and Baby Gross. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
