He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl T. Burton and Ruth A. Burton; his wife Viola Mae Burton; and his siblings, Claudia Campbell, Loretta Nance, Wanda Belt, Edna Earl Whittaker, Betty Dobbins, W. C. Burton, Dee L. Burton and Dorris Bruce Burton.
He is survived by: his children, Juanita Flatt (Randy) of Princeton, KY, Jackie Burton of Clay, KY, Marsha Burton of Nashville, TN, Don Wayne Burton (Darlene) and Joe Burton of Clay, KY; his sisters, Julia Raymond of Calvert City, KY and Joyce Cowan of Clay, KY; and his grandchildren, Stephen Flatt, Amber Hunt and Kristian Burton. He is also survived by five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
At the request of the family, visitors are asked to wear masks.
