He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lafayette and Virginia Marie Dunbar Slaton. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Jeanette Merrick Slaton; his son Charles "Chuck" W. Slaton Jr. (Hestella) of Princeton; his sister Doris Marie Fraley of Lyon County; his grandchild Nickie Doyle; his stepgrandchildren, Mike Oliver and Melissa Lefan; his great grandchild Cael Logan Doyle; and also Vivian Hurley.
