He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred Irene Collins Powers; his parents, Orville Powers and Annie Reed Powers; and his siblings, Betty Pettit, Gilbert Powers, Clovis Powers Sherman, Grover Powers, Larry Powers, Paul Raymond, Marybell Powers Collins, Vinie Swartz and Isaac Powers.
He is survived by: his children, Vernon Ray Powers of Pikeville, Ricky Powers of Syracuse, William Powers of Prestonsburg, James Powers of Mentone, Evelyn Robinson of Paintsville, Barbara Sponseller of New Paris and Vivian Jarvis of Prestonsburg; and his brother Hubert Powers of Van Lear. He is also survived by Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
