She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Thornsbury and Millie Hall Thornsbury. She is survived by: her husband William Edd Bays; her daughter Sherry Canterbury (William) of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; her grandchild Micaya Daniel (BJ); her great grandchild Dillon Daniel; and her siblings, Harold Ray Thornsbury of Wallingford, Kentucky, Sue Milligan of Prestonsburg, Bonnie Ratliff of Eastern, Kentucky and Along.
