We bid farewell to David Oaks in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 14, 2025 at the age of 73. David touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Oaks and Hattie Wright Oaks; and his siblings, Shirley, Melba, Irene, Clifford and Carl Oaks.
He is survived by: his children, Christyna Little Warrix (Darrel), David Oaks Jr. and Linna Prophet (Jack); his brothers, Ernest Oakes, Junior Oakes and Aubrey Oakes; and his grandchildren, Seth Little, Crystal Lucas, Ashley Lucas, Austin Lucas and Lisa Lucas.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home (2931 US-23, Pikeville, KY 41501). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
