He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lou Alwardt (Falash). He is survived by: his parents, William G. and Mabel Alwardt (Polmateer); and his children, Melisa Kossack (late Robert), Michael Alwardt (Linda), William Alwardt (late Alice), Keith Alwardt (Debbie) and John Alwardt (April). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
