He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda Moody Sholar; his parents, Robert Jesse and Lula Pearl Lancaster Sholar; his sisters, Pearl Sholar Allen and Mary Sholar Foster; and his siblings-in-law, Karen Sholar and Jake Foster.
He is survived by: his daughter Jessica R. "Jessi" Drawbaugh (Ricky) of Pleasureville; his siblings, Linda Sholar of Cadiz, Brenda Lancaster of Aiken, SC, Robert Charles Sholar (Gretchen) of The Villages, FL and Richard Sholar of Cadiz; his brothers-in-law, Bobby Allen of Cadiz, Monroe Lancaster of Hopkinsville and Jeff Moody (Laura) of Taylorsville; his cousin Joe Lancaster (Jill) of Lawrenceburg; his grandchildren, Sophie, Olivia and Dathan; his caregiver Rhonda Beverly; and his grandchildren, Esdon and Lydia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
