He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Ray Banta and Martha Frances Wainscott Banta; and his brother David Banta. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Ann Clark Banta; his sons, Jeremy Ray Banta (Chrissy) of Pleasureville, KY and Jason Clark Banta of Pleasureville, KY; his siblings, Barbara Garrett of Shelbyville, KY, Karen Broughton of Eminence, KY, Velda Imel (Phil) of Cropper, KY and Jerry Banta (Sally) of Eminence, KY; his siblings-in-law, Danny and Cheryl Clark of Pleasureville, KY; and his granddaughter Amelia Cate Banta. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
