He was predeceased by: his siblings, Joyce Brown, Ronald, David and Edward Earl Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Billie Jean Ellis of Pleasureville; his daughter Renee Dodson (Robert) of Carthage, MO; his nephews, Michael Ellis (Christina) of New Castle, Jeremy Ellis of Washington and Robbie Brown of Bedford; and his grandchildren, Quinn Brewer, Jackson Dodson and Tucker Dodson.
