He was predeceased by: his wife Ada Louise Vance; his parents, Iva Vance (Druen) and Carl Vance; his stepmother Dolly; his siblings, Wendell Vance, Juanita Curtis (Jasper) and Priscilla Hudgins; and his stepsister Rosella Vance.
He is survived by: his son Gary Vance; his siblings-in-law, Betty Shofner and Marion Leroy Hudgins; and his stepbrother William "Skinner" Vance. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
