He was predeceased by: his parents, Mossie Bullet Johnson and Charlie Johnson (Green Eyes); and his siblings, Charlie Johnson Jr., Cork Johnson, Geraldine Christopher, Mick Patterson, Bobbie Johnson and Gerry Lynn Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Martine Blevins Johnson; his sons, Danny Johnson (Heather Johnson), Van Johnson Jr. (Mary Johnson), Paul Johnson (Elizabeth Johnson) and Joshua Johnson (Emily Saylor); his grandchildren, April, Savannah, Brittany and Matthew; and his siblings, James Johnson (Sharon Johnson), Freddie Johnson (Irene Johnson), Ricky Johnson (Angel), Terry "Joe" Johnson, Penny Ray (James Ray), Charlotte Johnson and Donnie Perry. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
