He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Trosper and Ollie Jones Trosper; and his brother Clarence Trosper. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Turner Trosper; his sister Ella Rowlett (Steve) of Middlesboro, KY; his sons, Steven Trosper (Melissa) of Richmond, KY, Jason Trosper of Tennessee and John Trosper of Middlesboro, KY; his grandchildren, Jefferey Trosper, Caitlyn Trosper, Harley Trosper, Lilianna Trosper, Big Pa's Little Buddy and Ryker White; his cousin Deno Trosper of Leo, IN; his siblings-in-law, David Turner of Louisville and Janet Carmack of Pineville; his son Justin Boatright; and his close friends, Billy Jackson, Curtis Pingleton, Glen Helton, Joe Vaughn and Gary "Slick" Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
