He was predeceased by: his father Monroe Slusher; his grandparents, Cora Lee, William "Bill" Harmon Simpson, Lorine Miller and Cody Slusher; and his stepfather Carlos Edward Humfleet Jr..
He is survived by: his mother Sharon Simpson Humfleet of Pineville; his son James Samuel Slusher of Campbellsville; his siblings, Carlos Edward Humfleet III of Pineville, Sherry Lynn Mason (Thomas) of Pineville, Roe Slusher, Steven Slusher, Michael Slusher and Helena Slusher; and his aunts and uncles, James Ray Simpson of Barbourville, Morrison Simpson (Charlotte) of Pineville, William Arvin Simpson of Barbourville, Johnny Simpson (Jodi) of Barbourville and Glenda Sue Gibson (Bill) of London. He is also survived by cousins and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Green Hills Funeral Home (31 Hurst Rd, Middlesboro, KY 40965). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at the Humfleet Family Cemetery.
