He was predeceased by: his parents, James Skidmore Helton and Frances Kinningham Helton; and his sisters, Marietta Helton Lewis Webster and Eloise Helton Drake. He is survived by: his wife Mary Helton (Dink); his sister Frances E. Helton Parsons (Cinder); his sons, James Carter Helton, Jr. and Jeffery Wade Helton (Kim); his grandchildren, Lindsey Evans (Jason) of Corbin, KY, Jessica Irungu (James) of Atlanta, GA, Jenah Helton, Caeley Helton and Carter Helton of Pineville, KY; and his great grandchildren, Luke Evans, Noah Evans and Leo Irungu.

All Covid-19 regulations, including masks and social distancing will be observed.
