He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Rutherford and Linda Jane Pittman Rutherford; his grandson Aaron Paul Gentry; and his siblings, Mary Johnson, Bertha Simpson Harbin, George Hensley, Fred Rutherford, Noah Rutherford, James David Rutherford (JD) and John.
He is survived by: his children, Jamie Rutherford Gentry of Corbin Kentucky, Gary Adrian Wayne Rutherford of Pineville Kentucky and Travis Paul Rutherford of Pineville Kentucky; his grandchildren, Caitlin, Robbie Stewart, Lindsay, Justus Mills, Nathan, Sierra Gentry, Isaac Rutherford, Haley Rutherford, Dylan Rutherford, Raylee Rutherford, Baylee Rutherford, Mackenzie Rutherford and Kammie Rutherford; his great grandchild Emma May Posey; his siblings, Rankin Rutherford (RE), Ralph Rutherford, Henry Rutherford, Ommer Rutherford, Ruby Houck, Loretta Bingham, Lola Hickman and Charlene Boger; and his friends, Mike Taylor, Ernie Campbell and Johnny Ray Slusher. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
