He is survived by: his parents, David Sr. Widener and Judy Watts Widener; his children, David Austin Widener and Amber Madison Widener; his sister Sandra Elliott (Randy); his nephews, Randall Elliott (Carlene), Ryan Elliott and Raiden Avery Elliott; his niece Shalyn Elliott; his granddaughter Carmen Elliott; the mother of his children Katie Simpson; his aunts and uncles, Barbara Brock, Rose (Jackie Hoskins), LouAnn (Mickey Garrison), Teresa (Tray Alan Stinson), Phillip (Sally Widener), Irene Widener, Bishop Custer (Drucilla Watts), Bobby (Phyllis Watts), Shirley Watts, Vickie Watts, Carolyn (Ted Wells) and Betty (Albert Dahn); his cousins, Phillip Michael Bruner, Jackie G. Hoskins, Shawn Garrison, Derrick Widener, Dewayne Widener and Lowell Howard; and his friend Rocky Partin. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
