He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Byrge and Berthie Overton Byrge; his sons, Decky Lyn Byrge, Dwayne Smith and Junior Byrge; his siblings, Glennis Hughett, Carl Byrge, Eugene Byrge, James Byrge and Berlie Byrge; and his brothers-in-law, MJ Hughett and Gaston Williams.
He is survived by: his sons, Verlin 'Barney Byrge (Sherry) and Ray Byrge (Megan Terry); the mother of his children Alice Byrge; his sister Lorene Williams; and his close friend Debra Cole. He is also survived by five grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
