She was predeceased by: her father Luther Hamlin; her husband Algia Lay; and her siblings, Elmer, Ray, Archie, Roy Hamlin, Ruth Wilson, Ruby Gilreath, Reba Anderson and Nora Mae Walker.
She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Yancey (Randall) of Science Hill, Denise Neal (Jerry) of Pine Knot and Carla Reeves (Dale) of Bowling Green, Kentucky; her stepsons, Jerry and Terry Lay; her grandchildren, Ray Waters, Eric Yancey (Samantha), Todd Waters, Josh Yancey (Megan), Tarah Musgrove (Lorne), Natasha Reeves and Tyler Lay; and her great grandchildren, Levi Yancey, Kahlia Waters, Kylan Yancey and Lily Yancey.
