He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Daugherty and Anna Elizabeth Daugherty (Tapley); his wife Mattie Hamby Daugherty; his sons, Billy Ray and Denny Elisha Daugherty; and his siblings, Rachel Daugherty, Lela King, Ollie Hutchinson, Mable Hogue, Estes, Thornton, Manuel and Thomas Daugherty.
He is survived by: his daughters, Thelma Joyce Gregory (Reed) of Monticello, Donna Strunk (late Darrell) of Pine Knot and Janie Foster (late John) of Pine Knot. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
