He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Whalen Stephens and Bill J. Stephens "Pops"; and his siblings, Billy Ray Whalen, Finley "Bleachie" Whalen, Jim Whalen, Donald Whalen, Thuman Whalen, Jack Stephens, Alma Sue Koger and Sybil Ann Stephens.
He is survived by: his sisters, Jean Jeffers (Troy) of Oneida and Alene Trammell (Roy) of Strunk; and his close friends, Jim, Ruth Ann Worley and Earl. He is also survived by 10 nephews, 13 nieces, and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews.
