He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald Rankin and Hattie Shoopman (Tucker); his pet Bear; his wife Velma Jean Shoopman (Bryant); his siblings, Tommy "Pide" Shoopman, June Stephens and Shirley Ross; his daughter Theresa Bowen of Norwood, Ohio; his siblings, Raymond Shoopman (Ann) of Stearns, Nedra Duysen (Larry) of Maryland, Linda Slaven of Whitley City and Donna Strunk (Sam) of Pine Knot; his grandchildren, Dewey "Tony" Bowen and Ashley Gonazales (Joey); and his great grandchildren, Joshua Gonazales and Archer Gonazales.
