She was predeceased by: her parents, Pricilla Allen (Burgess) and Violet; her husband Rufus Palmer Newsome; and her children, Palmer Jr. (Newsome), Ronnie Dale Newsome and Vicky Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, Ricky Newsome (Cherri) of Pikeville, KY, Mickey Newsome (Johanda) of Harold, KY, Robin Henson (Stan) of Pikeville, KY and Avaleen Adams (Joe) of Grethel, KY; and her sister Minnie Newsome of Teaberry, KY. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren.
