He was predeceased by: his father Charles Wesley Sowards; and his half-brother Mark Allen Sowards. He is survived by: his mother Sarah Stone (White) of Virginia; and his siblings, Phillips Sowards (April) of Mt. Hope, Johnathan Sowards of Pikeville, Joanna Sowards Dudt (Mark), Carla Mills (Jimmy) of Martin, Charity Deel (Jimmy), Charles W. Sowards, Jr., Johnny D. Bennett, Timothy L. Bennett, Teresa L. Hunt, Joy D. Matthews and Rebecca G. Antonopoulos. He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews.
