She was predeceased by: her parents, Rennie Dale Akin and Eunice Arlene Powers Morton; and her brother Mynatte Morton. She is survived by: her husband Christopher Gene Salisbury; her stepmother Clydena Akin of Denton; her siblings, R. Dale Morton (Mary) of Pikeville, Kevin Morton (Brenda) of Pikeville and Ann Akin Cooksey (Carlos) of Stillwater, Oklahoma.; her siblings-in-law, Tommy Joe Salisbury (Sheryl) of Pikeville and Delaine Mullins (Johnny Mac) of Pikeville; and her close friend Jill Keefer of Arlington, Texas.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Son Funeral Home (703 Hambley Blvd, Pikeville, KY 41501). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at the Salisbury Cemetery.
