She was predeceased by: her father Richard Hopkins; and her sister Ama Bentley. She is survived by: her mother Loretta Osborne Hopkins; her children, Melanie Matney (Kevin) and Steve Damron (Ashley); her sister Peggy Brewer; and her grandchildren, Caroline Matney, Davis Matney, Madison Damron and Noah Damron.
