She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hess and Phyllis; her husband Lloyd Edward Gabbard; her son-in-law Pete Darnell; and her siblings, Vada Walker, Patty Hess, Leslie McGuire, Alkie Sanders, Donna Hess, Hazel Thacker, Joe Hess and Troy Hess.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Thacker (Lisha), Curtis Russel Chapman, Bridgette Darnell and Patricia Coleman (Roy); and her sister Colley Hess. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
