He was predeceased by: his parents, William McKinley Smith and Leatha Gross Smith; and his siblings, Nick, Hezekiah, Vas, Henry, Emmitt Smith, Katherine, Lydia, Nell and Justine.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Smith; his son Morris Smith Jr. (Shondale); his sister Marcella Smith; his grandson Donavan Prince Smith; and his stepgranddaughter Madison Ray.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home (2931 US-23, Pikeville, KY 41501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
