He was predeceased by: his parents, Blaine Smith and Fern Smith (Huffman); and his wife Loretta Mullins Smith. He is survived by: his sons, Michael John Smith (Meggan) of Kingsport and Christopher Blaine Smith of Myrtle Beach; his stepchildren, Brian Mullins (Teresa) of Pikeville, Sherri Mullins of Frankfort, Deborah Johnson of Lexington and Lisa Johnson (Carl) of Pikeville, Kentucky.; his siblings, Kenny Stewart (Lura) of Marrowbone and Edna Coleman (Joe) of Dandridge; and his granddaughters, Bella Smith and Emma Smith.
