He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Edmonds and Minnie Scott Edmonds; and his sister Geraldine Pietchmen. He is survived by: his wife Constance "Connie" Czaja Edmonds; his children, John Joseph (Renoda Edmonds) of Pikeville and Lisa (Kevin Lester) of Grundy; his siblings, Jeanette Charles of Florida, Jackie Duckett of Hendersonville and Sam Mosley of Tennessee; his grandchildren, John Joseph Edmonds II, Amara Lester and Steven Runyon; and his great grandchild Roven Runyon.
