He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Emery Burke and Bessie Ann Goble Burke; and his brothers, Billy T. Burke and Donnie T. Burke, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Ratliff Burke; his children, Jay Dean Burke Jr. of Florida, Philip Dean Burke (Karen) of Nashville, Tony Micheal Burke (Kayla Howell) of Kimper, Nina Marie Burke of Florida and Misti Shree Griffith of Raleigh; and his grandchildren, Kaden Burke and Woodland Micheal Lee Burke.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Son Funeral Home (703 Hambley Blvd, Pikeville, KY 41501). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
