He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Preston and Myrtle Ruth Thacker Smith. He is survived by: his children, Gary Thomas Smith (Claire Eder) and Bethany Smith; and his siblings, Michael Preston Smith (Dee) and Lisa Michelle Smith (Kirby).
