He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Adams and Georgia Adams (Charles); his son Paul David Adams; and his siblings, Don Adams and Sandy Burnette.
He is survived by: his wife Colleen Thompson-Adams; his daughter Michelle Adams (Eric Hargett); his daughter-in-law Angela Adams-Cable; his stepchildren, Helen Kaye Thompson, Annette Pinson and Kirby Thompson (Melissa) of Pikeville, KY; his brothers, James David Adams (Christine) of Richmond, KY, Randy Adams (Betty) of Raccoon, KY and Tony Adams (Mable) of Pikeville, KY; his siblings-in-law, Gary Burnette of Stone Coal and Marlene Adams of Grassy; and his grandchildren, Ciara (Josh), Taylor (Kohl), Blake, Jill, Cooper, Amber, Addie, Peyton, Piper, Morgan, Brady and Bryleigh. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
