With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ed Roberts (Pikeville, Kentucky), born in Jonancy, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 9, 2024 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Silas Roberts Sr. (Nora Sturgill Roberts) and Ed; his wife Doris Hino (Judy); his daughter Nancy Jane Roberts; and his siblings, Raymond Roberts, Lewis Davis Jr., Russell Roberts, Edgil Roberts and Fannie Jane Roberts.
He is survived by: his son Norman James Roberts Sr. of Whiting, Ind.; his grandsons, Norman James Roberts Jr. and Mark Roberts; and his sister Melster Roberts Salyer of Ypsilanti, Mich..
He was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Army Historical Foundation National Museum.
