Dewey left this world on April 24, 2025 at the age of 78, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Baxter Bartley and Bessie Martin Bartley; his son Shannon Bartley; and his siblings, Curtis Bartley, Delbert Bartley and Ora Lee Mullins.
He is survived by: his children, Spencer Bartley (Deana) and Daphne Blankenship (Jerry Russell); his grandchildren, Evan Blankenship, Ashley Bartley and Rachel Downs; his great grandchild Theo Blankenship; and his siblings, Earl Bartley, Thomas Bartley, Phillip Bartley, Elster Bartley, Beatrice Belcher and Dorothy Waller.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Ashcamp Old Regular Baptist Church (1088 Marrowbone Creek Rd, Elkhorn City, KY 41522). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
