He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Blackburn and Mavis Adkins Blackburn; and his siblings, Betty Sue Carroll, Roger and Eldon Blackburn.

He is survived by: his siblings, Wanda Thacker (Mose) and Eugene Blackburn (Barbara).
