He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Akers and Irene "Thacker" Akers; and his siblings, Ethel Mae Stallard and Leston Akers. He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Stone, Leslie Deskins and Jason Hawkins; his grandchildren, Tyler, Isaac, Aaron Easterling, Brittany McClanahan, Courtney Ritz, Hailee Gunter and Chris Hawkins; his great grandchildren, Donnie, Ashton McClanahan, Bentley, Bailey Akers, Zane and Liam Estep; his sister Vernis Parsons; and his brother-in-law Mickey Stallard.
