He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Compton and Sarah Hopkins Compton; his wife Polly Fields Compton; and his siblings, Sollie Compton, Kermit Compton, Charlie Compton, Dewey Compton, Gene Damron, Fannie Mae Bentley and Nannie Bentley.
He is survived by: his children, Sabrina Compton, Becky McCoy (Ronney) and Kenneth Compton; his grandchildren, Sarah Chaney (J. R.), Chris Dotson (MacKenzie), Jessica Sargent (Kyle), Samantha McCoy-Gardner (Tyler) and MaKenna Compton; and his great grandchildren, Piper, Mila Chaney, Harrison Sargent, Koen, Zane and Finley Dotson.
