She was predeceased by: her parent King David; her husband H. L. Burgess; and her siblings, Calvin Adkins, Lance Adkins, Marvin Adkins, Donald Adkins, Alice Battles, Mildred Roy and Noba Mutter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Dixon (Jeff) of Hurricane and Sandra Ratliff (Mike) of Hurricane; her grandchildren, David Dixon (Rebecca), Chris Dixon, Zackary Ratliff, Mackenzie Burgess, Katrina Cecil, Austin Ratliff (Brandy) and Ryan Ratliff; and her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Dixon, J. C. Dixon, Leiland Dixon, Mikah Dixon, Lindsay Cole, Konner Ratliff, Emali Ratliff, Alicen Ratliff, Peyton Ratliff, Colby Ratliff and Mikie Ratliff.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Son Funeral Home (703 Hambley Blvd, Pikeville, KY 41501). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
